Frontman Alex Turner famously described the album’s unique sonic DNA as sounding like "a Dr. Dre beat, but we’ve given it an Ike Turner pompadour and put it on a Stratocaster."

Recorded in Joshua Tree and Los Angeles, the record seamlessly fuses Black Sabbath-style heavy guitar riffs with bounce-heavy R&B rhythm sections and sultry, falsetto backing vocals. Driven by the hypnotic, stomp-along guitar riff of "Do I Wanna Know?", the thrashing propulsion of "R U Mine?", and the nocturnal pop groove of "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?", AM became a multi-platinum cultural landmark that defined a whole era of modern alternative rock.

Pressing Details & Visuals

Original 2013 UK Pressing: Sourced from the initial UK release run on Domino Recording Co., pressed with precise mastering for exceptional dynamic clarity.

Gatefold Sleeve Presentation: Housed in a heavy-cardstock gatefold jacket featuring high-contrast matte black stock and iconic white wave vector artwork.

Punchy Low-End Mix: Cut to showcase producer James Ford's deep, resonant basslines and Matt Helders' tight, hip-hop-influenced drum patterns.

Includes Custom Inner Sleeve: Comes complete with a dedicated printed inner sleeve featuring full lyrics and album credits.

Collector's Note: Original 2013 UK vinyl pressings on Domino are highly sought after by collectors for their uncompressed low-end punch.
