AM — Arctic Monkeys

Released in September 2013 via Domino Recording Co., AM captured Arctic Monkeys completing their transformation into global stadium headliners. Frontman Alex Turner famously described the album’s unique sonic DNA as sounding like "a Dr. Dre beat, but we’ve given it an Ike Turner pompadour and put it on a Stratocaster."

Recorded in Joshua Tree and Los Angeles, the record seamlessly fuses Black Sabbath-style heavy guitar riffs with bounce-heavy R&B rhythm sections and sultry, falsetto backing vocals.
